How Can cold And Sore Throat Be Treated?

I just had a chest xray which showed no tumors or lesions, but did show chronic changes in the base of my lungs. I am just getting over a vey bad cold and sore throat. I have never smoked, nor do I use any type of nicotine alternatives. I was told we could just wait for awhile and take another look at my lungs. What could this mean?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. thanks for your Query. I feel doctors go more with clinical findings than diagnostics. Don't worry about the xray. Also cold n sore throat might be viral upper respiratory tract infection. So warm water drinking, salt in hot water gargling,or betadine mouth gargles. Take anticongestives like cetzine or CPM. mint vaporubs, steam inhalation all will help.
